I feel compelled to post something tonight. I don't know why other than I posted a link to here on Michael Kent's facebook page. But really I have little to talk about. Unless you want to hear about all the medical junk that's been going on. Chances are though, if you actually know me (or know me through twitter or facebook) you already know about it all.
I'll post a summary in case my spies have found me again. My mom has a benign brain tumor. We found out in July that it was there and last week that it was NOT cancerous. (praise God!!!) Found out beginning of August that I'm to have a hysterectomy on the 26th due to some issues I've been having since giving birth to my son (he's 7 y/o). Umm.. That's about it on that front.
Hubby & I are going to begin to home-school S this year. Should be interesting. He's gonna do K12. I am going back for my Bachelor's in Psychology. I start same day S does (fun enough, the day before my surgery).
Now for some new stuff. LOL Had a fairly good discussion in class today at church. It was about things like 'if Jesus was here right now, do you think he'd be liberal, conservative, or moderate?' and 'are Christians getting so focused on certain issues that they are detrimental to 'the cause'?' (my wording from what i took the meaning of the question to be) This last one made me really stop to think. Yes there are issues out there that the Bible is VERY clear on (abortion*, homosexuality**, ect...) and as Christians we should speak out about those issues. However, if we focus so much on the sin and lose sight of the people involved in the sin, how are we ever going to reach them?
Other than that, I got nothing. Maybe something of interest will pop out at me later. G'nite all! :)
*Abortion = murder as it ends a life. Look up the following for God's views on murder: Exodus 20:13, Matthew 15:19, Romans 13:9, & James 2:11
**Look up the following for God's views on homosexuality: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, & Romans 1:26–27,
