Children Need Their Fathers...Revisited

So about 10 days ago I brought a post here that had originally been posted on MySpace a year and a half ago. I said then that I had a few changes that I would probably make now from then and that I would repost it later. Well, today is that day. I didn't get it done earlier as M was here and we hadn't seen him for more than 1 day since the end of July. (we had a wonderful visit too, thanks for asking. hehe)

And off we go. Rather than retyping the whole thing, I am just going to copy and paste what I had put and then post the revision. This means if you haven't read the original version, you might want to go read it before continuing this post.

"Once you get into it and actually hear about these cases and laws and stuff, it's almost enough to encourage a guy who knocked up a girl to marry her just so that when he leaves he can take the child with him! (granted i would never ACTUALLY condone this...the Bible speaks out against divorce) But I can see why some would do it!"

I have totally changed my mind on this. If M or S comes to us and says "I got my girlfriend pregnant" I will first ask if he wants anything to do with the child. If he says yes, then my next words will be "MARRY HER!!! And do it BEFORE that child is born!!!" I will tell them exactly why I feel this way too. If they are old enough to knock a girl up, they are old enough to hear the truth!!

Okay then so apparently that's the only changes I'd make to my original post. I was sure there were more than that. Guess not. Eventually I am going to post another one that I originally posted at MySpace over a year ago.
