My son is a sweet and awesome kid!!! Short version first....
We were all sick over Christmas so we just today exchanges gifts with my parents. S handed me my first gift and I was surprised to see it was from HIM! I opened it and inside was the ring pictured above. My mom said he picked it out completely. I melted!!
Long version made me melt even more when I was told....
Back in October, we went to Ohio's RenFaire with my mom and a family friend who has ALWAYS been another mom to me. While we were there, she told S that if he could find something he wanted for under a certain dollar amount, she'd buy it for him. (Hubby, K, & I had split apart from Mom, S, and 2nd Mom)
He found a bow that he wanted but it was more than my mom had the ability to spend that day and apparently he found nothing else he liked because instead of spending the money she offered him on himself, he got me this ring!! He picked out the design and everything! Isn't he the greatest kid in the world?!?!
(And he got his bow... At some point 2nd Mom went and bought it for him)
